I have recently updated my MSN messenger program to V8.5 and would like to know what processes I should be seeing in task manager and are the processes meant to end on exiting messenger or are they always running?
any help would be appreciated, thankyou for your time
ps my connection test within messenger is passed yet it says it cant connect, any ideas?
The process for MSN Live messenger is “msnmsgr.exe”
It is located at “C:\Program Files\Windows Live\Messenger\msnmsgr.exe”

For this reason i have got aMSN(open source) and not Live MSN. 
I use TrillianBasic (free) it covers all of my chats in one simple to use interface. 
I recomend you Pidgin, a multiplatform chat. Is open source too.

I used to install it, but now i never use messengers, if any time i open a messenger, is MSN messenger, then i’ve got aMSN.
