"Method not Implemented" error

Has anyone else been experiencing this?

I type a response on a thread, hit “preview”, and get a page that says “Method not Implemented”. Hitting the back button gives me a blank response field and I have to start typing all over again. At this point I copy any long responses to the clip board before previewing just in case.

Not happening to me just previewed this text.

Firefox, XP Pro, no problem. Haven’t tried with other browsers.

checking a preview now using IE7

As you can see:

No problems here.

Working ok here too ::slight_smile:

Thanks for the replies.

Maybe, as David said, its Avant Browser causing the problem.

IT’s not Avant Browser either:

Have you tried clearing out the temp files, rebooting and they check it again?

I was using Avant Browser while making this post.

I have Avant set to delete temporary internet files, cookies, etc on exit so the junk doesn’t build up. I also clean with CleanUp pretty often. This problem is occurring with Avant v11.0 Build 21 but also occurred with v10.2 Build 52.

I think I’m set up about the same as many forum user: XP Home SP2 on this machine, avast! and Spyware Terminator resident (thought the problem started prior to the Spyware Terminator install), and Comodo Firewall. It doesn’t happen on every post - its very sporadic.

EDIT:

Here’s a screen shot of what just happened

I typed my response, previewed, ran spell check, previewed again, then got the error page. When I hit the back button I get a Page Has Expired and refreshing actually filled the response field with my initial post this time.

Pardon the duplicate quote/response.

I’m trying to duplicate the problem on another computer following the same sequence as closely as possible.

No problems this time, but of course that really only shows it doesn’t happen all the time.

Just a guess but try it again without webshield and see if that makes the difference.
