I’m going thru the process of removing NAV 2004, and when I try to reinstall Script 5.6, I get a ‘command line option syntax error’ - I’m at a loss for what to do next. My email works once again, thankfully, but I assume I need to get this installed before I do anything else…thanks!
I really don’t see any connection between avast! and this problem. You should post this question in Norton related forums. They may be more adequate to answer about Norton uninstallation issues…
Again, no hard feelings, but Norton guys should be responsible for fixing things like this one.
Cheers !
Just to save some time searching here, I lifted this from Nortons site

This isn’t really an avast! issue … not to say you won’t find any help here to remove NAV but you might try search about NAV un-install
I apologize for the question. I did search the NAV uninstall here and followed the links and all, and that’s how I ended up back here. I was going thru that process you just listed but the 5.6 won’t install. I’ll go search a Norton or MS forum, it really isn’t an Avast issue, I’ll bug you guys when I get around to reinstalling Avast ;D ;D ;D
No apology needed, let us know how far you have got with the un-install … NAV isn’t the easiest of systems to get rid of. We are here to help, many members have had similar problems!
I’ve uninstalled Avast, tried NAV removal from control panel, ran the registry fix and am stuck on the reinstall of 5.6. I’ll continue with the Avast install once I get this blankety-blank NAV outta here!
Thanks much
