I am using ‘old’ Password Manager on android and wish to migrate to ‘new’ password manager. I realise that i must use windows BUT how do i install an old version in windows to enable sync and thus transfer?
I dont think you can as the old version no longer exists and has been deactivated.
Its been over a year since they announced you had to change and around 3-4 months ago none of the old worked not even the random generator on windows.
First, I’m an Avast user and not an Avast Team member.
Having never used the Avast Password manager, I have no personal experience of it.
I though that you would be able to export the saved passwords to a file, so I googled it.
export Avast password manager to a file
See this one in particular.
I hope this helps.
Good find David.
Hope that does help the OP
Only reason i mentioned above was they wanted to reload the old version onto windows which im not sure if it will just load the latest version which is web based. worth a try though.
Many thanks for your help and support. Sadly, the process insists on installing the later version of the apps and will not contact my earlier android version.
Looks like a manual re-entering of the data - but at least it is an opportunity to edit the number of entries.
Its been 2 years since i used the old password manager so this is just a guess.
I know you cant do it with the new password manager on a mobile but did the old password manager let you export to xl / html / json or watever file avast uses to export. then find file on your phone and email it to yourself. then load the new manager and extention then try importing it onto windows pc.
