I have been using Avast for many years, including Avast Password. Now, after installing the antivirus on a new device, Avast Password has disappeared and I cannot use my passwords. Please help.

I have the same problem. I have been using Avast Free for years and I also had Avast Password. Unfortunately, after reinstalling Windows, I can’t get to the application or the saved passwords. Can you please advise me? Thank you.

This same problem. I wrote to avast. Here is the answer
"Allow me to add that Avast passwords are discontinued and as such are no longer available to any new customers.
They will remain active for our existing users, however I would recommend looking for alternative solution for passwords."
Thanks for the reply. I’m not their new customer. I have been using their avast for at least 4 years still under the same email. I’ll wait for someone from Avast to say. If they write.

Seeing that Avast Passwords has been decommissioned we are not offering new Avast Passwords subscriptions. However, we will assist existing Avast Passwords subscribers.
According to the email addresses you used on this forum, you do not seem to have any Avast subscriptions.

For what purpose? At the moment I’m waiting for avast to write back to me on facebook, because I bought an avast premium account and did not receive an activation key
I would say the purpose is fairly clear, because they can’t find any subscription based on the email address used on the forum. They are seeking more information to try and track down your subscription.
You say you haven’t received your activation key (email), the most common causes for non-receipt of an email are:
Using an old inactive email address.
Making a typo in the email address you gave.
So they are trying to find it using other information.

My passwords was working fine up until last night when I renewed my Antivirus and bought VPN and Cleanup. Now passwords says I need Avast Antivirus. I understand it is no longer available or supported, but I have been a customer for a long time, and the post above says it will still work for old customers. But it seems that being upgraded to the new Antivirus premier stops it working. So I need my passwords. I need it to work again, or if that is not possible, is there an Avast one in the new Premier package that I was forcibly upgraded to?

It seems that the product is no longer available and supported. I guess I have to find something new to use.
If after having restarted Avast Premium Security/Windows you still do not see Avast Passwords then please make sure that
the component is actually added.
To do so please follow these steps:
- Open Avast Premium Security
- Click on Menu >Settings > General > Troubleshooting > ADD/MODIFY COMPONENTS
- Make sure that Passwords (old) is selected
- Click on CHANGE
- Restart Windows
