I got an email a couple of weeks ago saying my licence would auto-renew in two weeks at a cost of £59.99. This to my mind was way too expensive. So I cancelled the auto-renew feature and got a confirmation email saying it had been stopped. Sunday 25th comes around and an email pops up saying my Avast had been renewed!! What the hell. I was not amused.
I sent Avast a Twitter DM, which they ignored. I sent them a tweet on Monday, again they ignored it. See the pattern? I asked for a refund so far they haven’t reached out. Avast your customer service quite frankly sucks. So they big question is for me, is there actually a human I can speak to so I can resolve this issue. Otherwise it’s going to come down to calling the transaction fraudulent with my credit card company.

I have already done this. So far not a dicky bird from them. Have to say I am finding their customer service far from desirable. It’s a shame as the av itself is good. But it’s not £60 worth.
Be patient, a refund can take up to 7 business days.
