I install the Avast! 4 Pro.my system is VISTA,in my system event viewer has more and more error log existence whit Avast!.

how can i solve this issue? need your help! thank you very much!!! 
There isn’t any mention to 000018F8 error in forums.
I have checked my Event Viewer on Vista and found nothing related to this.
I have only, from time to time, Function setifaceUpdatePackages() has failed. Return code is 0x2000000A, dwRes is 2000000A.

Since 2007-06-26 i can see this notice daily (from minute to minute nearly).
Vista has nice tools 
Can somebody verify this error notice or give me a hint wether this is critical or not?
What can be the meaning of this?
Should i be concerned about this issue?

I’d suggest reinstalling avast. Hopefully, it will resolve the issue.

point is, there is no change in the log.

Of course i have the key inserted immediatly after installation.
It`s a bought version (guilty until 1.Febr. 2008) and i have used it before under Win XP on
the same laptop (first installation), later uprade on vista and no new installation necessarily.

Ok. When you upgrade to Vista, did you follow a clean installation (format before) or just oven the old XP installation?
Did you use avast uninstallation tool?
First it was an upgrade installation ;D
and second, yes of course, i have used the uninstall tool
how you have told me.
Stopping all providers, uninstall avast, boot, using uninstall tool,
boot again and did a new installation of avast (newest version,
downloaded from alwill downloadpage).
I believe that is one of the inseparably things in the world
of computers 8) and i think it does not concern to the computer security really.
I hope at least so.
