Moved to "Chest", now what?

I moved all of the viruses and adware that avast found on my computer to the chest. What can I do to get rid of these viruses permanently? Where is the chest? If I remove Avast from my computer will teh viruses be back in full force? What is my next step?

The chest may be found from the main avast screen, or from ‘C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\ashChest.exe’

Leave them in the chest (they can’t do any harm there) for a week or two so as to ensure that there are no harmful effects from them having been moved there (incorrect detection, etc.). This gives you time to investigate if at all possible (google search, ask here, etc.) to confirm.

You can then delete, restore or move them from within the chest, whichever is appropriate. Right click the avast icon and select Program Settings… then select Chest.

Same for me, where is the chest??? I went to Explore/C:/Program Files/Lavasoft and can’t find what you’re writing about.
[edit] I found it. Do an Explore search, put in ashchest.exe

Is somewhat different to - 'C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\ashChest.exe'

You can also access the virus chest, right click avast icon, select ‘Start avast Antivirus’ and from the menu select the Virus Chest.
