I have 3 computers: a desktop at home, a laptop and a desktop at work. Yesterday the computer at work alerted me that my registration was about to expire so I upgraded to the Security Suite and payed for an additional 2 licenses so that I could use it on all 3 of my computers. Then I remembered that in September of 2010 I purchaced a 2 year license for the Pro version on my home desktop.
So my question is can I transfer the remainder of my 2 year Pro subscriptions to my wifes home PC and then use one of my new Internet Security Suite licenses on my home computer? Right now I have the free home version on my wifes computer.
Just uninstall the avast installation on the system with avast Pro and install avast Pro on your wife’s system. You can use the license file that you got for your avast Pro (copy the license file across) and use that to register her copy.
Or you could leave avast free on her system and using the avastUI, Maintenance, Registration, you can click the Insert avast! Pro antivirus/ Internet Security License file and pint that at where you saved the license file on her system. That should convert the avast free version to Pro.
