There is no contest, the SeaMonkey is the incarnation of Mozilla Suite, which development is being stopped by Mozilla in favour of the two stand alone programs, Firefox and Thunderbird.
Mozilla has agreed that the project can be continued by the SeaMonkey project/team/group. I can’t remember the full story but that is a very, very, short update.
