This is a snapshot from Google images. The incoming is the first page when you click account settings and you’ll see there is an option on the left for Outgoing Server.
Also i notice you have both POP, and IMAP on… Why?
i no longer use Thunderbird, but as far as i remember on the left you see your email accounts. If you right click on your email account in the left pane and click properties it should take you there.
As its a POP3 account also turn IMAP off if you have it seleted. Although i wasn’t aware you could even select both. My guess is that you either have the wrong port numbers, or Avast has started to block them. This only happened since last update, yes?
Also just thought. i can’t understand the first warning box as it’s in Polish, but you can try turning off SSL. Let Avast handle the security. That has caused me problems in the past.
Looks like the stupid autoconfig enabled SPA (“šifrované heslo”). Definitely incorrect as you have noticed. You can try to re-enable encryption since I suppose the SPA was actually the only problem.
Let Avast handle what, exactly? Does Avast 2014 provide server authentication and/or encryption like SSL/TLS? There’s nothing in the documentation that says that it does, so I’m not clear.
The program does clearly say, however, that it can now scan your email, even in a mail client with SSL/TLS enabled. To me, this means we shouldn’t have to disable SSL/TLS in TB. But either Avast and TB no longer play nicely, or nobody has stumbled upon the correct configuration.
If you actually read the whole thread, the only problem here is the broken autoconfiguration in TB (incorrect password authentication method selected). Dunno what issues are you having with Avast configuration.
