hi guys. i have a serious problem with my browser (firefox mozilla vs. 8 ) after updating avast to vs.8. the browser it’s ‘freezing’ up, the searching is very slow, and in 5minutes it;'s crashing.
i really like the new style and the new things added to the new version, but i want to solve this as soon as posible. it’s getting me nervous.
i wouldn’t ask here for help if the problem hadn’t appearead so far.

nice try…but i just have done two reinstalling mozilla and a full scan and the SAME problem is staying. any smart ideas?
What OS?
What other security software do you have now or ever had?
If uninstalled how was it uninstalled?
Did you install avast over the top of a previous version or was it a “clean” install?
To do a clean install use the new uninstaller from safe mode http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=115915.msg900623#msg900623
Try a repair. Control Panel>Programs and Features>Uninstall>double click “avast”>click “repair”>reboot
edit: re-installing Firefox probably won’t help.
Maybe it’s the tricks of proactive protection of Сomodo. Turn it off and check. Once I had a similar problem for this reason, but with other products.
The OP never mentioned Comodo at all. In fact the OP never did say what other security software they have/had.
In Firefox open about:crashes and post the most recent crash link.
Let’s fix the avast issue first.
