It makes me laugh when I see something like this as they can’t dump IE6 as it was an integral part of XP so has to be supported on the same extended support life cycle as XP.
They aren’t actually starting a campaign to ‘dump’ IE6, so I don’t know where the title came from; they are however, trying to persuade people to upgrade to IE8. Unfortunately there are many people that will take little notice of this even when the media get round to pushing this too.
There have already been campaigns to change IE6, generally by some sites actively blocking IE6, so if that didn’t make them jump, I somehow doubt the 9 year old milk will fare any better.
