Ever wanted to play with OS without fear of crashing everything? Wanted to test something really wicked? Now you have chance! ;D
VirtualPC 2004 can completelly emulate entire PC, so you can install any OS on it and run the thing right from your current desktop as any other program.
I looked at the Mac version also and it seems to still cost, and I couldn’t find a stand alone packaged version of the software on the Microsoft site either, I only found the bundled version that came with the Microsoft Office for Mac. I hope they make it free for Mac users also, but I don’t really think that will happen. I wonder if I can run OS X in Virtual PC…
Yes I saw this too, but it doesn’t seem to have been tested because OS X doesn’t appear anywhere on that page, and even if a certain OS does not work with Virtual PC, they still list it saying that it does or doesn’t.
OS X can run on any x86 based machine no need for virtualPC if you can find a way to fool it. See it looks for a TPM chip on the motherboard to verify its apple Hardware otherwise apple uses intel chipsets and processors and GPUs come from ATI and nvidia nothing is diffrent besides the TPM module
Justin, stand alone copies of VirtualPC for mac are avaliable at any apple retail store
