I have two sites a few hundred miles apart connected by a hardware PPTP tunnel with 15 users or more. Is there a way to load ADMN on the far site and have it manage its local users while still staying in sync with the primary sites data? I guess a simpler ways of putting it would be to create a parent child relationship that mirror eachother.
yes, you can create an AMS mirror, its described in the manual and if u install the ADNM you can also choose which server to use for downloading updates (mirroring)
Is there a way to adjust ADMN to do the mirroring from the primary site without re-installing it? My question comes from having installed ADNM on the remote site already (only to learn it wasn’t seeing all it should).
thanks
that should be possible too… i typ this now by looking at the settings and the explanations with the settings in the ADNM console, not out of the manual (which u should read too!)
in the COMPUTER CATALOG create a new folder in which u place only the AMS mirror server.
right click on the folder and choose properties
in the properties menu list on the left choose POLICIES: MIRRORING
there you can set where to get the updates from
i believe there is a thread or more about this here on the forum too, use the search function for that…
let it know here if this worked or not
