My Android phone is acting weird...

Hello! Just this morning I noticed something weird on my Samsung Galaxy S3 Android phone while at work. I’m not sure if all these problems come from one source or just different problems acting up at the same time. I’ve also written about this into one finnish computer management forum, but I also figured to post here.

First of all, right in the morning I noticed my Avast Mobile Security having difficulties doing storage scan (I already posted about this problem here https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=178692.0), giving notification of AMS stopping suddenly. Giving at least one other user is having same problem, it might not be just in my phone? Only notecable website I visited before this issue were Gmail and mangareader.net (inwhich I accidentally turned adblock off for a short time and Firefox gave notification of one blocked popup, if someone can check the site for anything malicious, go ahead https://sitecheck.sucuri.net/results/www.mangareader.net).

Second thing that happened later on was when I went to google with my phone and was redirected to Google’s “Unusual traffic from your computer network” page (https://support.google.com/websearch/answer/86640?hl=en). After filling the CAPTCHA I’ve been able to use Google normally on my phone all day after that. I’ve read that this might be because malware or connection problems, which my phone sometimes has.

Third, my phone has had by far three different occasion of my phone freezing in black screen when turning the screen of, forcing me to reboot my phone, which happens without problem. I’ve managed to scan my device with Malwarebytes mobile without finding anything.

I’m not sure if I’ve managed to catch some sort of smartphone germin (especially with AMS having difficulties…), but I use my mobule to visit same exact viral websites that I’ve used for long time without problems as I visit with my desktop PC. I’ve also never installed any apps from unoffical/suspicious sources and have uploaded only few apps that are viral, like Netflix, Tumblr, AMS, Malwarebytes mobile etc).

I’m not sure what to do with this, so if anyone would have any advice I would appreciate it. :-\

Factory reset your phone, may help!

It appears that the problem with Avast Mobile storage scan is not just with me, since my sister has it to in her phone. Also she told me that Samsung Galaxy freezings were what happened to her Samsung Galaxy S3 when it became two years old, just like mine about now. :stuck_out_tongue:

One thing that’s left to debate is the issue of “Unusual traffic” notice by Google, since I’m not sure if it was caused by something nasty within my phone or bad connections or something… :-\
