My Avast that I just bought won't load and it says it is having a spawning error

I just bought Avast last night, hoping I could install it quickly and it kept giving me an error 0 (00000000) last action spawning (or something like that) the biggest problem is that I just bought this avast and am unable to install it on my computer, which angers me

  • Which avast!..?? (Pro/IS)
  • Which version…??
  • OS…?? (32/64 Bit…? - which SP…?)
  • Other security related software installed…??
  • Which AV did you use before avast!..??

Avast Pro, I didn’t see which version, but I bought the one for 19.99 if that helps, Operating system is win7 pro, there is no other security software because avg wouldn’t download for me, either. and I don’t know what you mean by an AV

  1. Download avast! Pro Antivirus: http://files.avast.com/iavs5x/avast_pro_antivirus_setup.exe
  2. Follow instructions: http://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility (Run this tool for all prior installed avast! versions…!!)
  3. Reinstall avast! with the downloaded installer from point 1.
  4. Reboot.

and I don't know what you mean by an AV
AV = anti virus was your thoshiba deliverd with a preinstalled AV.....like Norton / McAfee / Trend Micro ? if so it must be uninstalled before installing avast

it is recomended to run the vendors removal tool to clear any leftover files that may conflict

Thank you, I think every other av is gone now. I searched for mcafe, norton and trend micro and found nothing. I am downloading the link that was on the post and when it is done, I will try installation again.
