HI Bobin13271

HI can you tell me what operating system you are currently using please?
Also what avast version are you using is it avast free/premier/avast internet security?
What version is avast updated to the lasted version is 8.0.1489

Thanks have a good day

Windows 7, 64 bit
I have avast Free
and i have version 8.0.1489

I do a boot scan and a full system scan every week
boot scan was not designed to be used as a regular scanner, it is something you use if avast have problems removing a infection or if the program itself tell you to do it you have a fully automatic AV with realtime protection that scan evry file that moves when the computer is on a quick scan a week is plenty.... or if you are paranoid, turn on screensaver scan then then you dont have to think about scanning, the scan start when the screensaver comes on and stop when it goes off, if you interupt it it will remeber where it stoped and start again from that location....unless you have rebooted the computer
the problem is that when i do a boot scan it goes from like %0 -----> %100 in less than 1 second.
try avast repair and reboot contolpanel > ad/remove programs > avast > uninstall > repair option....wait a minute and reboot any change?

Nope, still the same problem
