First of all sorry if I write wrong, but I have few minutes till the virus begin to block every tasks
MEDION Intel 7, Windows 7, Avast Free the last version (I think it is 2021, but I can’t check it now or everything blocked again) and Malwarebytes Free (last also)
Since one month ago I began to feel my computer extremly slow and I didn’t make any change or install any program, when I click to run the browser (Chrome) or CCleaner it took several minutes to open/run (5min or more). I began to think I have a virus or some kind of malware in my computer.
In Avast and Malwarebytes scans they said I was free of virus and malware, but it the behaviour of my computer was’t normal, all the time too slow (like with a car you drive from 100km/h and change to 30km/h).
So I decided to scan my computer with different second opinion tools:
Avira PC Cleaner
ESET Online Scanner
Microsoft Safety Scanner
In all of them the scan never ends, something blocked them and never end the scan
I uninstall then Avast Free and I tried with other antivirus in their “trial version of 30 days”, but as the second opnion tools they never ended the scan and my computer began to block everything (like now meanwhile I’m writing this topic) with the circle moving everytime.
I tried also to restore my computer to another last point (more than one month ago) but it is same, the same problems and getting worse even. From 7 days ago I can’t swicth off my computer normally so I have to force the switch off.
And since 4 days when I swicht on my computer, after the screen of MEDION (as a greetings screen) it shows one screen that never showed me before, something related with configuration (bios could be) where I have to choose F1 to continous, in addition my computer make kind of “beep” sounds that also never did before that.
I want to remark that I only had installed at the same time in computer Avast and Antimalware Malwarebytes (this one working on demand). I’ve never two antivirus installed at the same time.
I appreciate your soon help because my computer is getting worse each time I use it
Miguel
P.D.: Sorry if I made any mistake in the message but I had to write it as soon as I can
Sounds like a hardware problem.
Wat is the beep you are hearing?
Is it one long one, a shot one or a combination?
If it is a combination, what combination is it?
it is one between short-normal (not long) at the begining of swithc on kind of strong (never did before) i’m trying to scan with aswMBR, because Antimalware Malwarebytes doesn’t work in my computer now. Do you recomend me run any other tool?
I think it is a virus, my computer always worked really well and I’ve never had a problem before and it is not old
Then it is a short beep. As I told before I have in my computer Avast Free and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Free, and they don’t work.
When I try to open Malwarebytes the circle begins to move but never open and when I try to update the virus database of Avast, it says that it was impossible and I have internet connection. I belive it is a virus because it never happened before and when I tried to run other antivirus (only one installed in my computer each time) and other second opinion antivirus tools, they never finished the scan, they stopped in the begining, middle or almost finishing the scan, and the computer began to be blocked all the time.
1 short beep means that the post is ok.
I only see one thing in the log that needs to be fixed, but I’ll leave it to one of the other helpers to help you.
Temporarily disable your AntiVirus program, usually via a right click on the System Tray icon. They may interfere with Combofix. If you are unsure how to do this please read this or this Instruction.
Run ComboFix. Then, on disclaimer window, click I Agree! button.
- ComboFix will check if there is a newer version of ComboFix available.
Click Yes if prompted to download.
-If Recovery Console is not installed, ComboFix will offer download & installation.
Click Yes to allow ComboFix to install Recovery Console.
ComboFix will scan your computer in stages, total of 50 stages.
Do not mouse-click around while ComboFix is running.
If malware is detected, ComboFix will begin with its removal, and may need to restart Windows.
Note:If you see a message like “Illegal operation attempted on a registry key that has been marked for deletion” just restart your computer.

When the tool is finished, it will produce a log report for you. (typical location: C:\ComboFix.txt)
=> Attach log report (ComboFix.txt) back to topic.
ComboFix shall also create addition log (typical location: C:\Qoobox\ComboFix-quarantined-files.txt)
=> Please attach that report (ComboFix-quarantined-files.txt) as well.
The message that appear in the screen when I switch on my computer is about bios (and never happened before, I have to press F1 to continous)
This has nothing to do ComboFix. It is related to this:
And since 4 days when I swicht on my computer, after the screen of MEDION (as a greetings screen) it shows one screen that never showed me before, something related with configuration (bios could be) where I have to choose F1 to continous, in addition my computer make kind of "beep" sounds that also never did before that.
Pressing the F1 key the computer wants you to tell to access the setup (BIOS) and it is always a good solution to set (load) the default BIOS settings.
As Eddy told you, this is hardware related problem. It is not always malware to blame … I would go with testing HDD.
Although this is not a Hardware-related forum, I shall give you the instruction to test the HardDrive itself. You shall need to ahve an empty CD/DVD and ROM drive. We shall do that kind of tests later on …
First you need to target and remove the previus AV leftover. They are some driver loaded in system and we need to fix that with AppRemover…
I do not have updated instruction how to run AppRemover but the point is to intall the app and allow to preform the scan. If any AV leftover is found, allow app to remove them. Here is Official webpage with guide how to use this … http://www.appremover.com/
Then, I need to take care for some unicode chars you have that may be malicious origin. For that I will require the fresh set of FRST logs. So, run the tool again, allow update, tick the box for addition log formating and press the Scan button. Post here the fresh FRST and Addition logfile for analysis.
I download AppRemover and I run, but it only detected Avast and Malwarebytes, so I can’t remove the things I also saw in the logs of G Data, Panda, Eset and others.
For me is difficult to think that something related with hardware is wrong. All the problems began since one month, when I detected a slower behaviour in my computer than before, for example I switch on the computer click Chrome and I took several seconds (sometimes 1min or more) to run the program when before it was in 1 or 2 seconds, and I began to read the news (didn’t any program running in my computer) and it was all the time blocked like if I was using a very old computer.
Then the problem that no any second opnion scanner finish the analysis, neither when I decided to uninstall Avast and try with other antivirus (remark: only one installed each time, no 2 antivirus running at the same time)
Then the behaviour of the computer was even worse so when I decided to switch off the computer normal I can’t, it didn’t swicht off so I needed to switch off by force, that means that everytime I run the computer I got the message of reporting me that I swicth off the computer wrong and the 3 or 4 options (Safe mode, safe mode with network… run windows as usual), and each time the computer worse. So the behaviour of my computer is like a circle that each time I switch on is getting worse
I run again the FRST with the new version. Here I attached the logs
FixList.txt must be in the same location where FRST.exe tool is!
Re-run FRST.exe as you did before …
[*] Press the Fix button once and wait.
[*] FRST will process fixlist.txt
[*] When finished, it will produce a log fixlog.txt and will keep that log in the same folder where FRST.exe is.
Attach here fixlog.txt logreport.
Re run FRST and press Scan button to create and post the fresh FRST.txt reprot.
I run Combofix as you told me, I attach you the logs.
Yesterday I run the Microsoft Malware Removal Tool, this application made a very high speed analysis where you can’t follow the link during the anlysis due his high speed. At the begining it was working great but after 2 hours of analysis it began to run slower till for one photo it tooks 10sec and for one pdf of 1 or 2 pages it tooks almost 1min
I’m almost sure that my computer is infected with something, which one I don’t know, maybe a rootkit. Without made this decission today Avast is disabled, I don’t know why. And AntiMalware doesn’t work neither with Chamaleon Tech
