I was watching my local news yesterday and they were talking about a very nasty virus thats seems to be attacking face book and Yahoo in general,I didn’t catch the name of it,anyone know what I’m referring too,thanks.
Generally I take no notice of anything like this as there is frequently nothing you can do over and above what you are already doing.
Exercise safe hex, keep your security software up to date, keep your OS up to date, use a browser that incorporates additional security measures; like firefox and using its NoScript and RequestPolicy add-ons. If the dark brown stuff hits the fan a good back-up and recovery strategy to recover from any computer issues. Using hard drive imaging software makes an exact copy of your partition/s or drive is one such means of back-up and recovery.
Usually the News is so far behind the curve as to make any such warning a farce.
