Need Advice:)

Viruses and worms

Hi would anyone know how to remove a certain two worms by the name W32.Coflop_mm found in C:\WINDOWS\System32\sol.exe and File
2) W32.Chainsaw.Worm found in C:\WINDOWS\System32\winmine.exe and File
3) Holystic-Dialer found C:\WINDOWS\icons

The thing is that I cant erase them. They keep on reappearing on the next scan. I used XoftSpy 3.45 to scan them. No other scanning software detected them.

please work through the link “VirusRemoval” below in my sig and then:

  • post a hijackthis-Log here

  • report what Onlinescanners KAV, RAV & Trend have to say on the files: IF they confirm the infection:

  • please email the suspicious files to virus (at) avast.com
    after this you could try

  • disabling System RESTORE, then after rebooting in SafeMode (F8-Boot):

  • MOVING the files to a password-protected archive

I used XoftSpy 3.45 to scan them.

Totally agree on removing XoftSpy. This has cropped up a couple of times in these forums, so a search of these forums for XoftSpy should give you an idea of others experiences with XoftSpy.
