NEED HELP FAST PLEASE!!

:-\ I was running a full system scan and before I ran my Avast I ran my Malwarebytes and it actually found 8 items that I had it remove so that’s why I had Avast run a full system scan instead of a quick one. It took a few hrs and when I back to look it was done and found like 13-14 maybe items in the C:ProgramData and some other stuff but then the status says Error:Archive is password protected (42056) I don’t get that part. But I tried to hit the delete all and then APPLY but nothing’s happening its almost as if its frozen. But I can still switch it to different actions but the Apply tab isn’t doing anything. Can anyone help me or am I in the wrong area? Thanks so much for any help at all and if anything staring me in the right direction.

Error:Archive is password protected (42056) means just that, the file is password protected so Avast cannot open it. Hence no actions available. This is not a problem as when the file is opened it will be scanned by Avast then

Pardon me for any stupid questions here I’m a newbie with my Avast…at the top of that page it says some files could not be scanned…and then all those files show up and I haven’t a clue what they are so I don’t know if they’re a virus or what. And I can’t get out of that page.

files that can mot be scanned is the most frequently asked question in the forum, so a ton of info if you forum search

it is just a error message, files that can not be scanned are just that, it does not mean they are infected
avast will only take action on infected files… so that is why the apply button does not work
when avast find infected files, they are given a malware name

Ok that makes sense but how do I get out of there now?

is there a close window button…red X in top right corner?
is computer frosen?.. tried restarting it?

Ok I didn’t realize that I just needed to click close…no need for the sarcasm still a newbie…my question is tho those that couldn’t be scanned how can I find them?

was that sarcasm?.. how/what should i have said to not offend you?

in the screen that show the scan result… put your mouse pointer on the vertical bar just in front of severity and dragg sideways, you should now see the full file path

i guess the files belongs to adobe as these that usually comes up with this…or in a system restore point

you may attach a screenshot of the scan result, the we may be able to tell you what they are
anyway they are nothing to worry about

I did that already and it said C:ProgramData
