Hii everyone once again :smiley:

I’ve 4gb of ram in my pc , 1gb ati graphics card and 1tb hdd still my computer is slow

I thought that there would be some virus or malwares in my pc but after the boot-time scan of ais 5.1.889 only one error came i.e

File c:\Documents and Settings\Santosh\My Documents\StrongDC++\Incomplete\data3.cab.G3E2CSDOHAOX4BXSHIXVKB26QA32QFITOIJTSIA.dctmp|> SEACRESTTRK_UNIT195_GR_BNDL
ERROR 42127 {CAB archive is corrupted}.

i also scanned with malwarebytes and sas but no spywares detected

So please help me out on what should i do to make my pc faster :frowning:

i run ccleaner 3.03 everyday + regitry mechanic 10

How long has it been since you defragmented ? http://www.piriform.com/defraggler/download 32/64 bit and boot time defrag.
I would get rid of registry mechanic since ccleaner has it’s own registry cleaning componant.

ya i haven’t defragmented since a month and i have perfectdisk 11 pro
So i would defrag today only

Also u said that u’d get rid of registry mechanic but i have a paid version of it so i dont want 2 unisntall it
so can i keep it in my pc and scan everyday with ccleaner

Yes you can keep it, only said to get rid of it because the registry is a risky area and mechanic can be a bit aggresive in its cleaning where as ccleaner has never detected or deleted anything that shouldn’t be deleted with the registry side of thing’s for me so it’s alot safer.
You can also check your startup’s and see what is running and what you dont need.

Also in my F drive only one folder hangs all the time i open it
then i have to end it in task manager and restart explorer.exe and then it opens but some times hangs once more and opens in 3rd attempt
so whats the problem with it
is it because i have many subfolders in that folder [i.e 19 folders] and should i move some folders out of it and place it in other drive
