Need help removing Mystart and incredibar

I use Windows XP, and Mozilla Firefox. When I first open Mozilla, my homepage is set to Yahoo. But if I click on “open new tabs”, it always tries to go to mystart.incredibar.com - but the window never opens because I have it blocked.
Is there a way I can remove this from my computer?

Thanks so much,
Barb

run AdwCleaner and Malwarebytes.
see the guide here http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=53253.0

post the logs here when done

I clicked the reply button and tried to post the logs from AdwCleaner and Malwarebytes, but it says:

The following error or errors occurred while posting this message:
The message exceeds the maximum allowed length (10000 characters).

I even tried posting the logs separately but received the same message.

use the attach option just belowe the txt box here

did this solve your problem?

The logs are listed below. Computer seems to be back to normal. New tabs no longer open to mystart.incredibar.com.
Sorry for the delay in replying. Took me a while to find the “attachment” button.

wow…that AdwCleaner log was big…so it removed a ton of browser/toolbar crap

if the problem should prove to be not solved, then in the same guide you find a prgram called OTL
attact logs from it and a malware removal specialist will then help you.

Thank you very much for your help. You are a blessing

No kidding. Printed it and it came to over 11 pages. Biggest one yet I've seen so far. Sorry it was Barb711 that got this suffering bit here. No fun, that.

Now you know why running AdwCleaner will save quite a bit of time and effort on the part of the malware experts as this program is quite the ticket for removing browser junk and malicious malware. This is work they used to do by hand before.
