Need help to remove http://isearch.fantastigames.com/ re-direct virus

Windows 7

Firefox 22.0

IE 9

Chrome 28

Have only noticed the problem on Firefox and IE. Can go into settings and change home page but it will revert back to a version of isearch.fantastigames.com

Adwcleaner log attached.

The other fixes i’ve found online don’t work. Unable to find any trace of the files or program itself to delete.

Thanks!

any change after you run AdwCleaner?

also run a quick scan with Malwarebytes, and then OTL… attach logs here

mbam log attached

and OTL log ?

you did not answer my question above…

OTL Log (sorry had to step out for a bit).

So far I’m not seeing it hijack the browser again. Let me browse around a bit and see if i can get it to occur again.

Went and hit about 20 sites real quick on firefox and ie. Not seeing it pop back in.

This happened a bit yesterday after I’d manually reset the homepage to google it would work for a while, then late last night it popped up again. Will report back.

a expert will check your OTL log any minute now…

A few bits remain

Warning This fix is only relevant for this system and no other, using on another computer may cause problems

Be advised that when the fix commences it will shut down all running processes and you may lose the desktop and icons, they will return on reboot

Run OTL

[*]Under the Custom Scans/Fixes box at the bottom, paste in the following

How is the computer behaving ?

Seems to be working fine. I’ll keep playing with it and report any further issues. (It’s my nephews laptop and apparently they’ve had this problem for a few months).

Thanks again for your help essexboy!

Subject to no further problems

I will remove my tools now and give some recommendations, but, I would like you to run for 24 hours or so and come back if you have any problems

Now the best part of the day ----- Your log now appears clean

A good workman always cleans up after himself so…The following will implement some cleanup procedures as well as reset System Restore points:

Right click Disc Cleanup and select run as administrator
When it pops up at the first prompt select OK after it has done some calculations the tabs will appear
Select More Options tab
