I am a new user to avast anti virus.
I found various viruses in the C:\RESTORE\TEMP and the archieve section that i could not neither remove nor move to chest. Could someone tell me how to remove these file from the system as i think they are spreading a lot. Btw my operating system is Windows ME and i have Zone Alarm as my firewall. thanks a lot to everyone in advance.
This it a windows protected area and you need to switch off system restore to be able to remove items (restore points) from here.
Win XP-ME - How to disable System Restore
So disable system restore, reboot, check to see it the restore points have been removed (some ME users find they are still there until system restore is re-enabled), scan to ensure you are clear and enable system restore again.
