NEED HELP

It really annoys me. When I righ click something whis will come out!!Is this really normal? coz i just got my pc reformat and installed a new OS which is Windows XP Service Pack 2. I dont really know if these are cause by a virus. Help me please

What exactly is the issue? I can’t seem to work out what you mean with the image…

Also, SP3?

Configured by some geek, eh? 8)
Pimped up with every system tweaking tool available in the northern hemisphere maybe.

when i right click on something so many list like the one above.

Ah, ok. This would then depend on the applications that are installed. Some may have an option to enable/disable their context menu function.

There also seem to be some duplicates, not sure what would cause that.

yes thats what im talking about

As I said: configured by a geek / nerd.

However, if everything is working, it is not a real problem.

You should update to XP service pack 3. That’s rather important security wise.

If you want to get rid of some of those entries: uninstall some of the tools and tweak programs or change their settings.

Update to XP SP 3 as many Critical Updates and performance improvments are included.
It will fix your situation.

Not the program I listed. SP# takes a very long time but that's a different matter.

@ ladygag
I don’t use Windows XP and don’t know which items you no longer want appearing in the context menu.

ok thanks. hope i could get rid of these problems

Oops…Sorry. :-[

It appears from your original screen shot that you have installed some kind of Yahoo toolbar(s). You can go under search and uninstall these Yahoo tool bars unless you need them for some reason, like a DSL connection with AT&T. IMO, I do not install toolbars because they often bring along adware with them. If you find that you are unable to uninstall them in Normal Mode, then try uninstalling them in Safe Mode.

got the problem fixed. thanks for the help. Now the real problem is that I cant update my windows xp. WHen I go to the update.microsoft.com and choose install. then the download bar appears then after that all was successfully downloaded then it went on installing and it ALWAYS FAILED TO INSTALL. ???

Did you reboot after doing the uninstall of the toolbars first?

It will take a long while to update from SP2 to SP3. Make sure you have a good Internet connection or do it during an off-peak time.
