I’m trying to get a refund for an automatically renewed subscription I did not want, but I never got a confirmation email as I never had an account in the first place, only the copy of Avast Free Antivirus that came with the laptop I bought.
I’ve tried to make a Refund Request using the order ID 00000000, and I got an email saying that they are “unable to locate your order under your email address and name provided” and requesting I “send us a purchase confirmation from your bank so that we can locate the payment for you”.
I respond to this email with all relevant available information, and in response I get an empty reply, presumably automated. Trying to press further only yields more empty replies. I have also tried repeating the Refund Request with the purchase confirmation as an attached file, with the same results.
Update: I don’t actually know if this is the “ticket ID” or not, but the number in the header of the email I got from xxxxxxxxxx@avast.com after submitting the Refund Request is 10576907. It does not say “ticket ID” in the mail, but it is the only related number I can find. I am very unfamiliar with the general terminology used as I am inexperienced with Avast and other online services, so forgive me if I seem clueless.
I found an or order with an email address very similar to yours, however, it ends in gmail.se not gmail.com(the one you used to contact us)
This order seems to be related to a renewal of a trial version of Avast Cleanup.
