Need to insert licence key all the time...

Greetings everyone!

About 2 months ago, I installed avast! 4.8 Home Edition on my desktop: P4@2.4GHz, 2GB RAM, HDD 120GB, WinXP Home SP3. During the trial period I had no problems. As the trial period reached its end, I got my licence key from http://www.avast.com/registration-free-antivirus.php, which I used to activate the program. Here is the problem:

Every time I left-click the “a - ball” tray icon, or right-click it and go to “resident protection” or “settings”, a small window pops up asking for my licence key to allow me to use these features. So, if I want to change a setting, or pause or stop a provider etc, I must paste my licence key into this small window, or I cannot go on with the program! Other options, like the manual update (right-click on the “a - ball” tray icon and click “update program” or “update iAVS”), don’t require the licence key to run.

Why is this happening? My registration was succesful, why does avast! need my licence key to run every time? Is there any way to fix this?

You may not use the operating system administrator account login?

No, I log in as an administrator, there are no other accounts!
