Trojan Not detected by on-access, resident shield,on demand :frowning:

Doomsday almost arrived on my pc this evening!!

I got this nasty in a program i got from a friend (who is pc noob). So i scanned this program before installing. But NO detection.

When i finally double clicked it, and i began installing, my Trojan Guard (Anti-trojan V5.5) popped-up and warned me i was executing a trojan!!

So I stopped instalation. And did a on-demand scan with Anti trojan v5.5.

avast is great in virus detection

i was an avast32 v3 user
and it was great in virus detection , but very very poor in RAT detection

I know virus detection MUST be the programs first priority !

But not detecting a well known (much used) r.a.t. is no good. > everybody knows Netbus !

I really can’t understand why it wasn’t included in the virus database already ? This is a not a verry new trojan you know.

Well, i hope they included detection for it now. (11/9/03)

I did a google search (and found in 5 seconds), and it was this trojan (but in newer version V2.10) that was included in the program i got from my friend,
