NetLimiter 3 Pro won't work when WebShield is enabled

hi!

I really need to use NetLimiter in all my workstations to minimize bandwidth traffic to favor my gaming customers, but NetLimiter bandwidth limiter is useless when Avast’s WebShield is enabled, as every bandwidth passes/scanned through WebShield… Unless I disable WebShield, bandwidth limiter works just as I want to…
I have to limit every workstations’ browser to a certain kB per second…

Questions:

  1. What are the consequences if I just disable the WebShield?
  2. Am I still safe if WebShield is disabled even though other shields are enabled???

It isn’t that we can’t help you but, since you’re using avast! illegally, I personally refuse to offer free service.
Just as none of us will help someone who uses any other Software that’s being run illegally.

I think the best way for you is to tell WebShield to only scan (intercept traffic from) the browser processes.

P.S. As a matter of fact, the author of NetLimiter happens to be my schoolmate. :slight_smile:

NetLimiter only brought troubles for me… crashes and even BSODs… Maybe it’s just my computer, but I’m really not self confident about its stability.
