Netsky.dam

Hi ,

My first post here just to say that Avast 4.1 home edition didn’t find the virus received by mail : Netsky.dam (as called by trend)

  • I have seen that Avast didn’t find viruses when an e-mail is join with an infected joined file …

id-est:
Virus… in e-mail… in e-mail

I am from France …

Hope i can help

I think the name means that the virus has been damaged (Dam). It means that it is not complete and on such samples different AV programs can react differently: some of them detects it, some not. Anyway - it is not dangerous, so you can safely delete it!
