A few days ago, nework shield started blocking access to mail8.domain.com, which is the incoming mail server for one of my e-mail accounts. When I send/receive in Outlook '07, the On-Access Scanner message pops up indicating that Network Shield has blocked access to malicious site “mail8.domain.com”
I have sent two messages to the support team with no reply.
I am running 4.8 Pro
The only way to get my e-mail is to use webmail or disable Network Shield
Why can’t users input their own exceptions… seems like others have had valid sites blocked. How can I get this fixed?
I just checked wXw.domain.com and it blocked that too, unfortunately there is no whitelisting/exceptions for the network shield. So I don’t know how you manage to use webmail to collect your email if you still have to go to domain.com as the network shield should also detect that as it did when I tried to browse wXw.domain.com ???
Send the URL to virus@avast.com, a link to this topic might help and possible false positive in the subject.
You could Pause the Network Shield, download your email and enable it again. A pain yes, probably better than using webmail, but hopefully this will be corrected quickly.
