Never get a serial

Hi! So far top software this avast.
My windows 7 RC ended. Bought win 7 pro and am reinstalling all the software, so redownloaded the latest free edition of avast. Went to the serial recovery and got:

Somebody, hopefully you, filled in the avast! Home Edition license resend form on page http://www.avast.com/eng/home-license-resend.php?lang=ENG. We are sorry, but we have no record in our database for the email address provided. If you need a license key for avast! Home Edition, please use this online form to get one: http://www.avast.com/i_kat_207.php?lang=ENG

Tried my normal email address and my gmail address in case avast servers don’t like info@, same message instantly.

Resend form first link results in the same no info email
Visited the link on the site and re registered under info@, no joy
Visited the link on the site and re registered under @gmail.com, no joy

I cant see how I would need to grant special access in my mail client if the warning messages came through so fast. I had the exact same problem last time (a few months ago) tried to obtain a serial. Also the last online form link results in a 404 not found like it did last time.

What avast version are you using 4.8 or 5.0 ?

If 5.0, I would have though if you did a clean install of 5.0.418 you wouldn’t want to recover the ‘old’ avast 4.8 home license as you would have to convert it to work with 5.0. With a clean install you should have been able to use the avast UI registration process.

I tried to get the serial before installation, stupid.

Also I need a double smack because the emails eventually came through. I think reinstalling all my stuff is doing my head in!
