I just renewed my license and I can’t activate it. The expiration date after “activation” is the same as on my old license. I phoned “technical support” and what I got was a sales pitch to buy a "cleanout " of my computer for $99.95.
I note that the payment agent is new. I did not have any problem last year.

Don’t pay anybody for phone support. There are many excellent alternatives in Free Tech service and more importantly, here on the forum. ;)8)
I just spoke to Nexway customer service (the payment agent) and it seems that I bought a 1 year extension of Avast! Internet Security, not Avast! Pro anti virus. That’s why the license that was downloaded would not activate.
They’re going to issue a credit to my credit card account and I’ll try to be more careful when re-ordering.
