I have had the free version for 3 days. switched from AVG after their latest version wouldn’t allow video uploads to YouTube. This antivirus isn’t scanning temp internet files. This concerns me that all the tracking cookies aren’t being scanned. Anyone know where to fix this? I want to see tracking cookies in the virus vault. so far, 3 days, and no tracking cookies found.
Tracking cookies is almost a myth into security field.
Tracking cookies are just clean (not infected) txt files.
You can manage it into Firefox with some cookie extensions.
The software that shows “removing tracking cookies” as a real antimalware detection is just hyping itself…
Well, every other antivirus I’ve used, shows all tracking cookies and any infected files in it’s scanned “finds” and puts them in the virus vault. I’m uncomfortable not having them visible and being able to delete them, even though I know their effects are nominal. Can I somehow make them visible after my scan on Avast?

well, I know they’re harmless. I just like to delete them. I’ll look at that link and thanks for your responses. 
There are many security software options that this is about all that they find, and has been said tracking cookies aren’t a security threat.
They are best dealt with by not allowing third party cookies in your browser, using something like SpywareBlaster which is an immunising rather than resident scanner to add known bad URLs to prevent bad activeX and Tracking Cookies. Periodically clear your Temp Internet Files and Cookies.
I use Firefox and have the Cookie Monster add-on which also gives greater control over cookies at the point where they really are needed, at browser level.
