Improved Sensitive Data Shield You now get detailed results if Sensitive Data Shield has found anything suspicious in your files.
Manage your apps with ease You now have easier access to Blocked & Allowed apps settings for each shield feature. That way, if a suspicious app attempts to access your protected folders, webcam, or passwords, you’ll get a notification and you can easily add this app to your list of blocked or allowed apps.
Other notable improvements in the release:
Data Shredder now works properly after Premium update
Firewall blocking rule in the UI fixed
Other important issues and bugs squashed

Hi, is there a way to be notified by email when a new version is released? Several times my 2 products, Premium Security and Free Antivirus do not notify me and I only find them when I go to see if there are updates manually.

There is no specific email update notification, with hundreds of millions of users many would consider it spamming.
With those numbers of users, the update cycle is spread over a short time period to balance server load.
If you look at the history cycle there is usually 10 updates a year for most cases this roughly equates to one a month. one way I guess would be to monitor the beta update versions in the forum and click the Notify button in the topic. That way you get notified about replies in the topic. It might just be easier to visit the forums once a month.
Nice update. Tried on fresh install of Windows 10 1607 (build version 14393).
Completely breaks OS. Cant open start or anything else, only log out option is available. Screen becomes black, icons dissapear.
Can anyone suggest any decent alternative to Avast ?

What i was afraid of started happening… now people bring me computers that were working without the problems FOR YEARS with free avast showing the same sings… Cant open control panel to remove avast, uninstall tool doesnt work… AVAST you are true definition of garbage… How do i remove this trash from computers now ? Nothing works cant open anything, peoples files are locked because you cant open anything. Never again will i install Avast. Tried AVG and same thing happens…
Cant confirm now that its ALL because of AVAST. Booted the pc into safe mode with rescue disk, that was trowing errors while trying to open anything. Open files and just removed avast software folder. Did nothing else and tried to boot pc. Now everything came back normal. Everything works, can open control panel, files are undamaged. Lessons learned. Will never use avast EVER again.
Same problem, win10 totally f#k up, can´t do anything.
Uninstalled Avast on other pc´s before win update and restart. Works perfectly.
How to save the f#k up ones?
In both cases (Avast and AVG) i checked File shield, Behavior Shield, Web Shield and Do not disturb. Ransomware wasnt checked when i installed it. So its not it
