There are reports of people getting Avast version 22.8 as an automatic program update - I did a manual program update installs Avast Free avast! free 22.8.6030 (build 22.8.7500.734), UI 1.0.722 this is not a beta build. I haven’t been on the beta stream for a very long time and did a clean reinstall when switching back ???
I don’t see a new Program release for 22.8 (not beta) in the Forums. Is this an oversight or do you have a background update problem ?
Hey DavidR thank for the reply I did same thing
Else u I did also update the update manually
Cos avast update it didn’t update it
automatically btw I have that version else
You.
But What shall I do same else u Uninstall
Avast and clean everything and reinstall

Some good news I found this forum that help me https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=320643.0
Finally I can do some boot time scan again by disabling win Re for Now and now I am doing boot time scan
Lets wait and see what the new 22.8 release notes say.
Personally I don’t know why you feel the need to do a boot-time scan for.
Ordinarily there should be no need unless there is a problem that Avast can’t deal with in a normal scan.
As mentioned in the other topic I gave you a link of, the Windows Recovery Environment scan can be temporarily disabled, which would/should revert to the old style Boot-Time scan, until this is resolved.
