Security Updates
• OpenSSL updated in VPN: VPN now uses an updated OpenSSL version to address a known security vulnerability.
• OpenSSL updated in Antivirus: Antivirus components now include an updated OpenSSL version to address a known security vulnerability.

:hammer_and_wrench: What Was Fixed
Malware Protection
• IDP detection error handling fixed: Fixed an issue in the early IDP detection function.
• Scan message consistency improved: Resolved inconsistent scan messages between different scan types.
• Scan thread hang fixed: Fixed an issue where a scan could wait indefinitely due to a heartbeat thread problem.

VPN
• Incorrect VPN onboarding display fixed: Fixed an issue where the new VPN onboarding appeared for existing users.
• VPN connection event aggregation fixed: Resolved issues related to VPN connection event handling.

User Interface & Notifications
• Silent mode activation from tray fixed: Fixed an issue where turning on Silent Mode from the system tray did not work correctly.
• Marketing notification suppression fixed: Fixed an issue where suppressed marketing notifications were not reflected correctly.

I don’t do Beta AV, but when this comes to normal release, let’s see if this fixes the dumb popups in Silent Mode.

I did try with random file, but wasn’t able to reproduce. WeSy5 could you please share the testing link for the file you are able to reproduce or/and maybe also performance logs. You should be able to create those by this commands from elevated command line:

wpr -start CPU -start diskio -start fileio -filemode
— reproduce the behavior —
wpr -stop avast.etl

Then please compress (e.g. ZIP) and share the generated avast.etl file. Thank you.
