there is a new beta version ready - build 26.6.11011.

Installer and setup

  • Setup text has been refreshed with clearer wording, updated privacy notice labels, and improved onboarding language.

Privacy and identity

  • Privacy and identity features now have better support for breach details, login tracking, and account re-check flows for expired sessions.

Behind-the-scenes improvements

  • Several behind-the-scenes updates were added to detection, monitoring, certificate handling, and local protection services to support future reliability and protection quality.

Installer and updates

  • Fixed several install, uninstall, offline install, and upgrade problems so product setup and product changes are more reliable.
  • Fixed installer screen issues such as oversized text, missing branding files, and language cleanup in setup flows.

Privacy and security

  • Fixed issues in quarantine restore, file protection wording, SafeCam layout, and Privacy Monitor request handling.

Licensing and account behavior

  • Fixed several license, trial, account-file, and dynamic pricing issues that could cause inconsistent activation or account behavior.

Smart Scan

  • Fixed Smart Scan scheduling behavior.

Stability and interface

  • Fixed multiple crashes, timeouts, startup issues, and UI handling problems across the app.

Cleanup and maintenance

  • Fixed cleanup-related runtime issues and corrected File Cleanup scheduler behavior.

Software Updater

  • Software updater does not work on Windows 7.

Thanks for the beta update and release notes.

Any chance that someone is going to post the Release of Avast 26.5.xxxx though available there is no change log or details on the Community Forum.

They should post changelog for 26.4 first.

I am still on 26.3. I have not seen any Avast team member announce Public Release of 26.4 or 26.5 with changelog and offline download links.

I seem to remember that Avast promised to publish comprehensive release notes for new versions some months back. I think we had one announcement that could be described as comprehensive, but they seem to have gone the other direction and now don’t publish any Release Notes for Avast Premium or Free AV products. Whether that is an oversight or policy decision is not known, but is poor.
