Hi all,
I have just bought a new computer and after installing avast and Online armor Firewall, I decided to check for updates using windows update.
There where 20 updates available and after downloading them etc. I was prompted for a restart,
Now it is in a perpetual loop,
-boot
-reaches screen that says: ‘Configuring updates…stage 3 of 3’
-reaches 99%
-reboots
-starts again
What do I do?

Curse Windows.
Find your restore partition or CD.
I would install all Windows updates before Online armor Firewall.

Vista is re-installed, We’ll see how it goes…

No internet connection ???

Also in Control panel ->Internet options ->Connect to the internet
There is the message:
“Windows did not detect any networking hardware”
Help…
EDIT:I have finally sorted everything out, the issue with connecting to the net has been solved, like some other driver issues by installing them from the ‘windows.old’ folder.
I will try updating via windows update soon
