New Installation Cannot login -- "Access Denied" Unable to login as Admin...

I have installed a trial version on an SBS2003 server. Installation went normal, but I cannot login with any login name/password.

When I click the “Detect Servers” button it finds the installation, but I cannot login?

How do I troubleshot this? I have found no information on AVAST with this problem.

which combinations did u try??
did u read the manual, because for a first time installation the username and password are in the manual…
look for admin

Thank you! I should have read the documentation more closely.

Administrator and admin are the answer.

maybe the last time make sure the detect server must be your computer name/localhost…if you detect server and have the domain, you can delete domain, example : Testing.demo.com,testing is the computer name, you must delete demo.com…username and pasword by default is Administrator and admin(Password)

@buyunk

the detected name is completely dependent of where you installed the adminconsole.
If you are not running the console from the mirror server itself then its logical that the DNS name of the mirror server is displayed in the console and NOT the name of the host where you run the console from.

next to that if you cant log in with the FQDN of the server then your DNS settings are screwed since this should work perfectly, at least it does at my site

Hi All,

My first post, I am having the same problem.

I have installed Avast V4.8 Server edition on demo on on a Windows SBS 2003 (SvcPk 2)

I then installed the ADNM console on the same machine using all the standard options, including using the built in Microsoft SQL.

When I double click the ADNM Console icon it launches and asks me for a:
Server:
User Name: Administrator (this autofills)
Password:

I tried the ‘Detected’ server with and without the domain extension, and I treid the default password: admin (in lowercase)

But I keep getting the error:
Unknown error.
Unable to login as Administrator or connection error

I did not change the password during install.

Can anybody please help?

I must confess to being totally over this issue, I have had to manually install to my clients. I will not be renewing my license for this junk!

try to delete the database from AMS, then recreate the database, boot the PC which installed with ADMN and try to login again
if the PC can’t detected the server then type the PC IP-address or fill-in with 172.0.0.1 (Loopback IP address).

this step is only working if you login from ADMN console on the same machine installed with AMS.

login with Administrator and password is admin by default.

@ caryb, this a good application please try step by step or maybe i can guide
