I have avast running in silent mode so when I’m gaming, nothing will interfere. Today, I started getting a mail shield alert popping up over my game screen. it warns me the certificate is out of date and shouldnt be trusted, but only gives me the option to make it an exception, not to delete or vault it. the window pops up twice in a row every 30 seconds or so. even though I am running silent and i disabled mail shield for an hour, I am still getting the pop-

  • Which avast!..?? (Free/Pro/IS/Premier)
  • Which version…??
  • OS…?? (32/64 Bit…? - which SP…?)

Are you using POP3 email such as Outlook or Thunderbird? If not you do not need the mail shield. Web based email is safer also.
