New Licence key

Hi

This is a silly question, but here goes. I have had trouble getting my pro license key in after i had to uninstall and reinstall avast a while back and have been using the home version.

I manged to get the pro licence back in today and it expires 1/7/06.
I have sent a cheque as i have renewed the license for 3 years, and am waiting for my new license key.

Does the 3 years start from when i put it in or does it start when the old key expires.

I’m not sure but I think I tried that in the past. It doesn’t matter when the old key expires, it matters when you insert a new one. I think that from that date will your license be valid in the next 3 years.

But please, this is anything but sure. You better wait someone from Alwil…

Those 3 years start from the moment you purchase the key, I’m afraid (and I can’t imagine a way to do otherwise).

my pc can’t download the latest updates.

I’m sorry but I don’t know how to fix your problem.
You should post your problem in a new Topic say in the Avast! 4 x Home/Pro .

That way you will get plenty of friendly advice as how to fix your problem.
