After this update, Outlook Express won’t send/receive emails unless uncheck Avast’s ‘scan for incoming/outgoing messages’ boxes. Makes no difference if firewall on or off.
Funny thing. I did a clean install on a fresh install of windows 7, I got a BSOD. But when I did an update from previous version (luckily I save the old version up, there was no BSOD on the same Windows 7.
Please fix it. I already uploaded my dump files to mediafire.
Same here.A CTM snapshot,only with CIS firewall installed,BSOD.Another snapshot,with SS free installed,BSOD.Then i tried a CLEAN snapshot,and while Avast! was installing,BSOD.
So,on the same clean snapshot,i downloaded from filehippo and installed the old version of Avast! 6.0.1125.Updated via program itself, and now everything is ok.Weird…
No problem we are all interested in a perfect system.
Since I could not believe there is just a localised bug I continued with all kind of variations.
The reason I could not reproduce the behaviour during first tries was I allways have the vertical height of main GUI adjusted to minimum and also at least one line is already enlarged by the “More Details” button.
Just like in versions 1184 and 1198 I’m getting BSOD with 1203 as well. This is on an HP laptop, 2.0 ghz dual-core, 4 gigs ram, Windows 7 Ultimate (32bit).Sorry but I had memory dump disabled in System>System Properties>Advanced>Startup and Recovery>System failure. When this BSOD occurs Avast doesn’t even show up in Program and Features so as a result I have to re-image my PC to get it back to normal. If you wish I can re-image my PC once again and enable memory dump. Could you please tell me once again where the memory dump file will be located?
