well i’ve had it about 5 months but all of a sudden its saying my virus definitions update is’nt working
anyone know why ?? ???

Please tell us things like the OS, version of Avast, other security programs, etc.
Can you try to repair your installation?
Go to Control Panel > Add/Remove programs > avast! antivirus > Remove. Then choose Repair function in the popup window (Repair).

also if you to summit a virus to them, ask them. they’re nice people here.
