New Update blocking Websites

Hello just updated to the latest version and Web shield is blocking Twitter, Facebook, SkyNews Twitch etc just to name some

Anyone else getting this using Windows 10

Reboot 2 or 3 times.
If that doesn’t solve it, disable https scanning in the webshield and see if it solves the problem.

Tried Restarting couple times has I thought it was my internet playing up and I reset all my network >:( Only turning off Web shield fixes it for me… How do Avast let this type of bugs into public release is beyond me.

No need to turn off the webshield.
Disabling https scanning should be enough.

Still blocks the sites for me even with that off :frowning:

It seems to block google and reddit for me also :frowning:

Disabling https scanning doesn’t fix the problem, so i guess it uninstalling time and i just installed avast today

Same… UGH, updated avast internet security and now its blocking google, gmail, facebook… what the…

Hi eddy,

sorry, but you have to turn off the webschutz. I got the same problem.

Same for me. Web agent is blocking most of the internet, on two different computers, after an update from today :-[

But this is a update BUG, right? I hope Avast techs are working this out…

Is there any way to revert Avast internet security to the previous release status? And then update again when the bugs are fixed?

Thanks

Same problem

Me too helps if you disable avast strange thats new update

Please have a little patience … it is worked on.

Thanks for the reply. I’m patient but it sucks when you need to access lots of these websites being blocked for work purposes.

Same here uk, most web sites work but some don’t, ebay, google etc.

Also the ui taskbar icon still does not show up so I have to click on the desktop avast icon to get I running right.
windows 10 pro. avast premier.

Same here. I can’t access Imgur.com, Microsoft.com etc.

All https sites open fine for me if I only disable https scanning.

I tried to turn off all the functions of the web-screen in turn. Sites do not work until the component itself is turned off.

Same problem here. I have to disable Avast for the sites to load.

Obviously a buggy version. General troubleshooting is useless – they need to address the SPECIFIC cause.
