I just started using Avast yesterday and I would like to know if all Word documents that I open are scanned for viruses automatically.
If not, what settings must I alter. Thanks

Thank you. I used Norton Systemworks for many years (until it almost crashed my system while installing the latest edition). It took forever for files to open because of virus scanning.
Now with Avast my files open quickly so I was not sure if they were being scanned.
