I found out that it does not work even with the new version we are currently working on.
It is because even though the setting is correctly stored in the configuration file, it is always reset back to the default value during the computer reboot.
It is obviously a bug and we are going to fix it with the next update.
There is no update setting to check and install newest versions. If a new version is released does it automatically get updated into our software subscription?
yes, we are currently support only automatic updates as you described, however I am aware of the fact that it would be quite nice to have an option to check for the latest version on demand because sometimes it might take a few days to get the automatic update after we release the latest version so we will add this option into the settings in upcoming versions.
I bought the subscription of avast cleanup premium in jan 2020, it does cleanup stuff but the problem is
it automatically disable the wifi (every time I have to disable & enable the adapter to get the internet connection).
caused a problem at the startup, I just see blank screen (I have to perform the system restore to fix this issue)
Both these issues happened multiple time, I have done the system restore about 3-4 times.
Surprisingly, after I uninstall the avast cleanup premium, i don’t have either issues. I want to install the avast cleanup again (as I paid for subscription) but am afraid the same problem with the wifi and startup will happen again. Is there any solution to this issue?
Please help!
Now to address you problem, we do not have any feature which would disable WiFi so there might be some weird coincidence with other software perhaps.
When it comes to the problem with startup, there might be an issue in Cleanup.
However both problems need further investigation and in order to be able to help you I would like to ask you to send the log files so we can investigate where the problem is.
You can simply send them by executing our log collector utility from this path C:\Program Files (x86)\AVAST Software\Avast Cleanup\tulogcollector.exe assuming that you have still Avast Cleanup installed on your computer.
Just please add your email address there so we can join the logs with your report here.
