Bug in Croatian UI :

-Smart Scan
-Add-on with bad reputation (WOT)
-Skip this step
-Nothing shows like Finished Scan or something like that

No problems with English UI.

ty Be but this was a first clean install offline installer used from avast server

Hello,
what is new still running process aswEngSrv.exe ?

Everything is working fine! Good Work.
Just one question i can´t see the new option to check the current version anywhere.

hello I found something in this new version after a clean install:
1/ unsecapp.exe is constantly running (since v19 was released) although Browser clean up tool is not installed (unsecapp is required for it to function according to avast dev long time ago)

2/ No PUP scan option in the new UI for File Shield or Core Shields. It’s still available in the old UI though
It’s also available exclusively in Virus Scans menu

3/ when choosing Hardened mode aggressive in the old UI, the hardened mode box in the new UI will be unchecked. It’s only checked when HM is set to Moderate

4/ Warn when downloading files with poor reputation (web shield) is not functioning

thank you

Hi,
ad 2) see attached
ad 3) Hardened mode was in fact always moderate

Why no links for Avast Pro Antivirus?

I believe this was introduced somewhere around avast 18.6.xxxx as to avoid this on my XP system I had to go back as far as avast 18.5.xxxx and install that. You find the Behaviour shield does call for it to be loaded. To confirm that switch off the Behaviour Shield and reboot and see if the unsecapp.exe is still running. This is not a solution or a workaround, just confirmation of the shield responsible for running unsecapp.exe.

See my post https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=220639.msg1484900#msg1484900 and there are lots of other comments relating to unsecapp.exe running.

I’m still waiting for the update of 18.8.xxxx, the last version to support XP/Vista.

Well, it works well. That if we except the error of https by firefox, (because that error is still in this version).

It would be great without the error of https, but otherwise without problems. Let’s see when that https disaster is fixed, now it’s less protected for those of us who use firefox.

Well at least for the rest it works well. No problems for now.

Hi! Was the problem with 2 av launch components in start up fixed?

Either right click the tray icon or via GUI → Menu → Info.

Old About Avast GUI has a different build number than does the newer GUI.

See attached below:

Which one is correct?

I think new one. :-\

Both, difference is that the new UI shows applied uupdates/hotfixes.
See changelog: https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=224777.0

yes, that’s correct. new one is also showing the last uupdate applied.
